CROWLEY LAKE - HILTON POINT
Nestled on the edge of the Long Valley Caldera, Crowley Lake is a reservoir along the upper Owens River that was first created in 1941 with the creation of the Long Valley Dam.
Every year, countless anglers make their way to the sparkling waters of Crowley Lake to try their hand at catching Rainbow, Brown, and / or Cutthroat Trout against the scenic backdrop of the Sierra Nevada and Glass Mountains.
Along the South side of Crowley Lake is a small area known as Hilton Bay. This small bay is fed oxygen rich water from Hilton Creek, creating a shallow, weedy, feeding area teeming with fish. Fishing at Hilton Bay can be done from the shore, by float, or from the nearby “Hilton Point” which extends into the bay and offers a boat launch, parking, a portable restroom, and sandy shores.
